BDW Meetup: Caserta & Waterline Data Discuss GDPR Compliance

October 11 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Caserta & Waterline Data Discuss GDPR Compliance

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a business and technical challenge for companies worldwide – and the deadlines are coming fast! American institutions that do business in the EU or have customers from the EU will have their data practices affected. Join Caserta, Waterline Data, & SALT for our forthcoming BDW Meetup: Caserta & Waterline Data Discuss GDPR Compliance. The following speakers will present:

• Joe Caserta, Founding President, Caserta, will outline the basics of the GDPR, discuss how it will impact data privacy around the world, and share techniques geared towards compliance

• Andrew Ahn, VP Products, Waterline, will present a big data solution to find and handle sensitive data in a GDPR-compliant manner. He’ll also discuss the preparation that companies will need to undergo during the remaining several months of transition period.

We will cap off the evening with a GDPR Panel Discussion to cover the challenges, benefits and pitfalls of more stringent restrictions on individual data privacy, moderated by Emily Labes of Caserta. Panelists include:

• Joe Caserta, Founding President, Caserta

• Andrew Ahn, VP Products, Waterline Data

Gretchen A., Ramos, Equity Partner Specializing in Privacy, Data Security, and Technology Litigation, Squire Patton Boggs

The Panelists will answer questions from the moderator and the audience. We’ll cap off the evening with some time networking, socializing and general mingling. We look forward to seeing you there!

Registration is mandatory for attendance. To register, please visit the Big Data Warehousing Meetup page.
